What’s Singaporean’s go-to app for personal and business use
More businesses and consumers use mobile apps for purchases.
Six out of ten Singaporeans prefer WhatsApp to reach out to businesses for their purchases, HubSpot reported.
When making purchases, either for personal or business use, HubSpot found that 61% of Singaporeans use WhatsApp to inquire about a certain product or service.
“Today, consumers expect brand experiences to be highly personalised, delivered via the channels they prefer, and to receive real-time answers,” Kat Warboys, Marketing Director, APAC at HubSpot, said.
“In Singapore, WhatsApp has clearly emerged as the platform of choice for consumers, and this presents an enormous opportunity for businesses to be more immediate with how they engage with prospects and customers, adapt to their preferences, and stand out from the competition.”

The study also found that 67% of Singaporeans prefer WhatsApp due to convenience and because they already use it in their day-to-day life.
Moreover, more than half of these Singaporeans (53%) said it saves them time to start and continue a conversation via WhatsApp compared to other channels.
