Indonesian e-commerce firm Bukalapak launches in Singapore
This will connect 4 million Indonesian sellers to the global market.
Indonesian e-commerce firm Bukalapak launched BukaGlobal, which will connect over 4 million Indonesian sellers to the global market, an announcement revealed.
At the moment, only qualified sellers in Jakarta and Tangerang are able to offer BukaGlobal as part of their service, with more sellers set to join progressively. Consumers in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Brunei Darussalam can order products starting from 0.5kg with delivery time approximately six to 11 days depending on the destination.
Fajrin Rasyid, co-founder and president of Bukalapak commented, "We want to break down barriers that hinder young and small entrepreneurs from competing on a global playing field, primarily on access, infrastructure, and connectivity. With BukaGlobal, Indonesian products are readily accessible by consumers anywhere in the world through a fast and reliable platform."
BukaGlobal is currently available in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Brunei Darussalam.
