CapitaLand to release one-month security deposit for retailers

It aims to help ease tenants’ cash flows amidst COVID-19.

CapitaLand has announced that as part of its rental relief package to COVID-19-affected tenants, it will release a one-month security deposit for them, according to an announcement.

This is to offset rental payments for the month of March 2020, the company said.

The company had earlier introduced a rental relief package for tenants which is said to target individual tenant problems through the aid of flexible rental payments and rental rebates.

The company has also launched a $10m marketing assistance in early February, still part of its support efforts amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.
