Chart of the day: 63% of Singaporeans prefer convenience stores to be unmanned
9 out of 10 Singaporeans want some retail stores to be unmanned.
This chart from the Axis Communications Retail Research Report says that three out of five Singaporeans want convenience stores to be unmanned.
The report identified that 92% of Singaporeans prefer some retail store types to be unmanned and convenience stores are at the top of the list. This is followed by supermarkets (54%), grocery stores (52%), bakeries (32%), and petrol kiosks (30%).
In another chart, the report detailed what services and operations they expect from unmanned stores. 81% said they want a self-checkout service, 66% they expect an automated entry and exit by QR code, and 65% expect video surveillance to deter crime and manage customer experience.
