Get a glimpse of Courts Asia's surprise for Singapore customers

Your guess is as good as ours.

According to DBS, Courts Asia plans to target new segments by innovating new credit facilities.

"New products in the pipeline include ‘SmartRent’, a facility for customers to rent products instead of purchasing them, as well as ‘S & E Pass Flexi Plan’ which allows S & E pass holders in Singapore to have access to in-house credit facilities, said DBS.

Here's more:

Courts plans to introduce new credit products and initiatives to grow its customer base as well as cater to the different needs and preferences of its customers.

The innovations may include more flexible repayment terms, risk-based pricing or revolving credit options, as well as bundling of product
warranties and insurance coverage.

Other plans include more flexible repayment terms, risk-based pricing or revolving credit options, and the bundling of product warranties and coverage for products purchased with credit schemes.

These credit products are capable of targeting new customer segments.  Expand online and alternate trade channels. Courts also aims to increase its online traffic and sales. eCourts, Courts online sales channel, offers a complete online shopping solution
from browsing to encrypted payment and delivery with credit payment options. Started in 2009, courts re-launched eCourts in 2012 with a more targeted marketing drive.

Courts has exploited online channels like Facebook to create advertising and in the recent Great Singapore Sale, it has partnered with VISA to sell its products on VISA’s BiggerBetterSale website, offering its products at up to 60% discount for customers.

Credit purchase options offered on eCourts differentiate Courts from its major competitors which mainly retail their products online for cash. Courts is also increasing online traffic and sales through social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.

Expand trade channels. Management also intends to expand its trading channels, through trade shows, showcasing product offerings to a large customer audience and at the same time raising brand awareness.

Trade shows such as IT shows in Singapore tend to be highly cash-generative and helps to boost working capital since promotions are more aggressive.

Launch new products and segments. Courts’ immediate focus on new product segment growth is its mobile phone and accessories range. It has established an area in its Singapore Megastore that sells IT accessories such as the tablet, smart phone covers, headphones etc.

Other product segments which it can potentially move into will be the office and lighting solutions, or product bundling with existing products to provide a complete customer solution.
