Mobile platforms are snatching loyal shoppers.
Traditional retailers in Singapore might have to rethink their business strategies, as they continue to bleed due to the damage dealt by online platforms.
According to UOB Kay Hian, to alleviate this, retailers are continuing to reconfigure their tenant mix to provide experiential offerings, as well as increasing their F&B outlets.
Additionally, they said retailers are also swimming with the tide and unveiling their own online platforms.
Meanwhile, UOB Kay Hian adds that the fast fashion arena looks to be particularly under threat, in the face of not only the pull of online retailing, but the shortfall in manpower as well.
