Customers opting for the 7-Eleven collection service will receive SMS and in-app notifications once the item has arrived. They have 48 hours to retrieve the package by showing a unique QR code to the store cashier.
The first phase of the roll-out will see the collection service available at 75 7-Eleven stores which will then be progressively rolled out to all 342 store locations across the city.
Qoo10 also introduced the second phase of its logistics service Qprime. Through Qprime, buyers can enjoy free shipping on checkouts over $50, and a single flat shipping rate from $3.99 onwards for checkouts below $50. Sellers can also enjoy lower shipping fees for pick-up of Qprime parcels.
Through its partnership with IMDA, Qoo10 will also participate in the IMDA Federated Lockers and Collection Points pilot at the end of 2018 in the HDB towns of Bukit Panjang, Punggol and selected MRT stations. The tie-up will allow its customers to collect their parcels along their commute or from HDB residential or commercial locations within their estate.
“Convenience for our customers and merchants has always been at the forefront of Qoo10’s business, and we are focused on growing a comprehensive, cross-border logistics network across Southeast Asia,” Hyunwook Cho, Country Manager, Qoo10 Singapore said in a statement.
