Shopee unveils five new ‘$100m’ milestone brand partners
The roster includes L’Oreal Group and Samsung, amongst others.
Shopee announced its partnership with the L’Oreal Group, Oppo, realme, Samsung, and Xiaomi, under its “Shopee 100 Million Dollar Club.”
The exclusive programme awards brands that have achieved US$100m (approximately $134.5) in gross merchandise value (GMV) with bonus perks, and a regional brand campaign.
Shopee will also continue its partnership with 20 brands under its Regional Champion Brands Programme 2022. This includes Abbott, Adidas, Colgate-Palmolive, HP, and Huawei, amongst others.
“Following the success, Shopee will continue to support the 20 brand partners onboarded this year with priority access to new 2 initiatives and campaigns that will deliver high business impact,” Terence Pang, Chief Operating Officer of Shopee said.
“RCBP partners will also enjoy early consideration for pilot brand protection initiatives, such as feedback forums and new tools to simplify and expedite submissions on brand protection matters.”
Moreover, Shopee also launched new initiatives after seeing that majority of its brand partners in Shopee Mall more than doubled their GMVs year on year. Initiatives include holding mega shopping events, opening a new sampling channel for shoppers to buy sample-size products, and integrating Facebook Ads on Shopee Seller Centre.
The e-commerce platform will also be upgrading current features, such as Shopee BeautyCam, Shopee Mall Brand Memberships, and Shopee Live through new partnerships that will allow for a wider variety of products, integration of online and offline programmes for brands, and a more personalised livestream content.
