Pacific Shipping appoints Lim Sim Keat as CEO
Mr Lim will be responsible for the overall management of PST Management.
Mr Lim’s appointment at PSTM will take effect in March 2011, according to PSMT. Mr Teo Choo Wee, Acting CEO, will return to the Sponsor, Pacific International Lines Private Limited, and continues as Director of the Board of PSTM, a position he held since 2006.
A Singapore permanent resident, Mr S.K. Lim, 43, has close to 20 years of working experience in the shipping industry in the region – Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong. He was the General Manager of Nova Shipping and Logistics Pte Ltd, responsible for strategic shipping and logistics planning, including fleet expansion, commercial and financial management as well as business development.
Between 2003 to 2009, Mr Lim served as Owner’s Representative for Austral Asia Line, which is owned by Schoeller Holdings, where he was responsible for the development and strategic growth of the company in South East Asia.
He also worked for two of the Kuok Group’s shipping agencies - Newship Agencies Pte Ltd in Singapore and PT Newship Nusabersama, Jakarta in Indonesia for 11 years.
Mr Lim graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the National University of Singapore in 1991 and has a double degree in Master of Business Administration with specialisation in Shipping, Offshore and Finance, from Nanyang Business School Singapore and BI Norwegian School of Management, Norway.
