Singapore International Cruise Terminal has new operator
Which firm beat out two other bids for the ten-year appointment?
SATS-Creuers Cruise Services Pte Ltd, a joint venture between SATS Ltd. (SATS) and Creuers del Port de Barcelona S.A. (Creuers) won the open tender bid, the Singapore Tourism Board said in a release.
Its bid was chosen over those of Marina Cruise Terminal Group and Singapore Cruise Centre Pte., Ltd.
The winning operator will also have an option to renew for additional five years after the initial decade-long term finishes.
The Singapore International Cruise Terminal is located in Marina South and is expected to eventually dock Oasis-class cruise ships, and attract its share of the 27 million cruise ship passengers forecasted by 2020.
