SMRT unveils $200m fixed-rate note issue

Its interest rate is 1.388%.

SMRT Corporation yesterday proposed to issue $200,000,000 1.388% Fixed Rate Notes Due 2017 through its wholly-owned subsidiary SMRT Capital.

The Notes will bear interest at the rate of 1.388% per annum payable semi-annually in arrear. The Notes, which will be issued in the denomination of S$250,000, will have a tenor of three years from their date of issue, which is expected to be 16 October 2014.

The net proceeds arising from the issue of the Notes, after the deduction of issue expenses, will be used to finance the general corporate funding requirements of SMRT and its subsidiaries.
