Three former ST Marine execs hit with corruption charges
The investigation has been ongoing since 2011.
Three former executives of ST Marine have been hit with corruption charges, in connection with an investigation that was first launched by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) in 2011.
ST Engineering today announced that corruption charges have been formally filed against former ST Marine President Chang Cheow Teck, former Senior Vice President Mok Kin Whang, and former Group Financial Controller and Senior Vice President (Finance) Ong Tek Liam.
Chang has been charged with a total of three charges under section 6(b) read with section 29(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Mok has been charged with one (1) charge under section 6(b) read with section 29(a) of the PCA.
Ong has been charged with a total of 118 charges under section 477A of the Penal Code.
