Global maritimetech startup accelerator launches in Singapore
Ten companies from around the world will be accepted in its inaugural class.
Singaporean ship manager Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) partnered with startup accelerator Techstar to launch a global maritimetech startup accelerator, called the EPS MaritimeTech Accelerator Powered by Techstars. According to an announcement, the programme is the first of its kind around the world.
Starting April, the Singapore-based accelerator will accept applications from startups around the world and select ten companies to participate in the inaugural class.
In November 2019, the class will gather in EPS’ headquarters in Singapore for an intensive three-month programme of research and development, mentorship, and collaboration.
The accelerator will culminate in February 2020 with a demo day wherein every startup will pitch its newly polished business to an investor and expert audience.
Startups and entrepreneurs with technologies related to regulations, fuel efficiency, vessel operations, digitalisation, navigation and other subthemes are encouraged to apply.
