In the works: Keppel Corp to seal 2nd FLNGV conversion contract
The name is Gimi.
The buzz about Golar Hilli is not yet over but Keppel Corp is already on its way to perform its next big LNG conversion project.
A report by OSK-DMG says that Keppel announced that it is in the process of finalising a contract to perform the conversion of a second Moss LNG carrier, the Gimi, into a floating liquefaction vessel (FLNGV).
OSK-DMG reveals that Keppel has also purchased a 10% stake in the first FLNGV, the Golar Hilli, which OSK-DMG sees as a source of long-term recurring earnings.
