Keppel O&M to deliver third FPSO to SBM offshore
The ‘mega’ FPSO will operate offshore Guyana.
Keppel Shipyard, Keppel Offshore & Marine’s (Keppel O&M) wholly-owned subsidiary, will be delivering its third of four Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessels (FPSOs) –- Prosperity –- to SBM offshore in the first quarter of 2023 (Q123).
According to Keppel O&M, the “mega” FPSO will be “chartered to the consortium of ExxonMobil, CNOOC, and Hess to operate in offshore Guyana.”
It will be spread moored in a water depth of about 1,900 metres.
FPSO Prosperity is designed to produce 220,000 barrels of oil per day, with an associated gas treatment capacity of 400 million cubic feet per day and a water injection capacity of 250,000 barrels per day, according to Keppel O&M.
“The FPSO will be able to store approximately 2 million barrels of crude oil,” Kpeel O&M added.
