Keppel O&M ships first dual-fuel dredger built in SG
The dregder can run on LNG.
Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) has delivered its first dual-fuel Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) built in Singapore to the Dutch company, Van Oord.
Named Vox Ariane, the dredger is also the first LNP hopper dredger in Keppel O&M's fleet and has a hopper capacity of 10,500 cubic meters. It's also equipped with a high degree of automation for its marine and dredging systems, onboard data acquisition, and integrated control system.
Other features of the TSHD include one suction pipe with submerged e-driven dredge pump, two shore discharge dredge pumps, five bottom doors, installed power of 14,500 kW, and 22 person capacity.
Apart from Vox Ariane, Keppel O&M will also create two more two more identical
dredgers for Van Oord named Vox Apolonia and Vox Alexia.
