Seatrium and Singapore Institute of Technology partner for Digital Learning Lab

Seatrium and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a Digital Learning Lab at the former's new Punggol Campus to drive the adoption of innovative marine technologies.
Under the MoU, Seatrium and SIT will work together on three key areas: Digital Yard Technology, 5G Industrial Applications, and Smart Microgrid.
The parties will focus on knowledge sharing, training, and collaborative research efforts in the three fields.
These initiatives target real-world issues, such as enhancing yard operations' energy efficiency through AI and simulation models.
The partnership will also explore talent development and acquisition strategies within the marine and energy sectors by facilitating student and staff exchanges, creating opportunities for practical problem-solving and lifelong education.
Additionally, the partnership will focus on talent development and acquisition in the marine and energy sectors by facilitating student and staff exchanges and offering educational opportunities such as the development of Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses.
