Sembcorp's marine business orderbook to hit $2b
This would be a recovery from last year's $320m.
Sembcorp's marine business should overcome rough seas this year as it is expected to rebound from the dismal new orders it had last year.
According to DBS Group Research, the group managed to record only $320m worth of new orders last year. This year, the value of new orders is expected to hit around $2b.
This would be driven by the new Gravifloat modularized LNG terminal solutions.
The group's order book stood at $6.7b as at Jun 2017, with around 46% from the drillship projects with Sete Brasil.
"This translates into a book-to-bill ratio of over 2x based on existing delivery schedule," DBS Group Research said.
