Yangzijiang Shipbuilding hits record US$16.8b in orders year-to-date

As of 27 May, the shipbuilder reported having 193 vessels pending for delivery by 2028. These include 66 containerships, 47 bulk carriers, and 22 vessels under the LNG/LPG/LEG/VLEC category.
By value, containerships accounted for US$9.28b, whilst bulk carriers contracts amounted to US$1.88b. The value of LNG/LPG/LEG/VLEC contracts totalled US$2.09 billion.
In a business update, the mainboard-listed company said its “strong outstanding order book brings revenue visibility up to 2027.”
Yangzijiang Shipbuilding said it is also on track to achieve its FY24 delivery target, already delivering 44% or 28 of its 63 vessels. Meanwhile, the shipbuilder has secured 74% of its FY24 order-win target.
The company said more than half (54%) of its new order-wins are eco-friendly vessels.
