Yangzijiang Shipbuilding secured US$770m orders in Q3
Amongst key deliveries include the world’s largest containership.
Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings secured US$770m orders in the third quarter of 2023, its latest business update showed.
With this, the company has an orderbook of US$6.54b for 2023– more than double its original target for the year.
Yangzijian updated that it is on track to achieve its delivery target of 57 vessels, with 42 vessels already delivered.
Amongst notable vessels delivered include six 24,000 TEU containerships, delivered to the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).

Yangzijiang also delivered the world’s largest containership, which it said solidifies its position in the ultra-large containership space.
The ship is also designed to achieve EEDI Phase III efficiency measures, which reduces carbon emissions by 3% to 4%.
Yangzijiang also made its first LNG dual-fuel vessel delivery to Seaspan. This is the first of 15 7,000TEU LNG dual containership orders to Seaspan.
