Libra Group names Kong Chee Keong as director

The company also announced the retirement by rotation of Dr Philip Tan Meng Ngee.

Libra Group has appointed Kong Chee Keong as independent director.

Mr Kong, 45, will also become chairman of the Remuneration Committee and member of the Audit Committee and Nominating Committee.

He is currently director of Penvest Co. from 2011 to present. Prior to this he was chief financial officer (CFO) & then senior vice president of HealthTrends Medical Investments from 2007 to December 2010 and CFO of Top Global Limited from mid 2006 to end 2007, according to a Libra Group report.

Meanwhile Dr Tan, 58, was due for retirement by rotation at the Annual General Meeting of the Company in accordance with Article 93 of the Company’s Articles of Association and he did not seek re-election at that meeting because of increased work commitment in his own companies.

He was appoined to the post 4 October 2011.
