SG implements compulsory ART for land VTL from MY
The tests start on 29 November.
Given recent reports of a potentially more contagious variant of the COVID-19 virus, all travellers arriving in Singapore from Malaysia via the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) on land will be required to undertake an Antigen Rapid Test (ART) upon arrival.
From 29 November, the first land VTL travellers arriving in Singapore must undergo the test.
The on-arrival ART for travellers arriving in Singapore via the land VTL will be administered at the Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange and Queen Street Terminal. Travellers will be required to make an e-payment for the ART at the testing centre directly.
Singapore and Malaysia launched the land VTL across the Causeway to further restore the connectivity between the two countries. The on-arrival ART aims to reduce the risk of the spread of the new variant to Singapore and progressively expand the land VTL in a safe and calibrated manner.
