Steadily Growing Airport Business
The CUTE solution is a secure network which allows multiple users like airlines and agents to use the same equipment for the applications required for passenger handling, such as check-in and boarding, airside security, baggage check-in and ticketing.
The Luang Prabang Airport has a throughput of approximately 300,000 passengers per year with an estimated 5% growth rate per annum. With the implementation of the Laos Project, it will be the first airport to run the CUTE solution in Laos.
Commenting on the Laos Project, Mr Michael Ong, CNA’s Group CEO and President said: “The Luang Prabang Airport is an important win for us and allows us to tap on the increasing passenger traffic in Laos.
I believe with our expertise and experience in systems integration and airport operations, we can contribute to a more efficient and smoother passenger handling operations.”
The Laos Project will be the first of CNA’s airport-related projects to generate recurring income for the Group. The Group has previously been providing consultancy and related system integration and mechanical engineering works for many international airports.
The airports serviced by the Group include Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand; Yangon International Airport in Yangon, Myanmar; Changi Airport in Singapore; Da Nang International Airport in Da Nang, Vietnam; and Doha International Airport in Qatar.
