Keppel unit inks maintenance contract with Changi Airport
The 5-year deal will cover Keppel's facilities management services for Terminal 2's mechanical and electrical systems.
In a release, Keppel FMO Pte Ltd (Keppel FMO), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Integrated Engineering, has been awarded a 5-year maintenance contract by Changi Airport Group (CAG), commencing 1 August 2012. The contract covers the facilities management services for the mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems in Terminal 2 of the world’s most awarded airport, Singapore Changi Airport.

Keppel FMO will provide breakdown repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance services in line with the industry’s best practices. The partnership builds on Keppel FMO’s 13-year relationship with Singapore Changi Airport. Keppel FMO currently retains contracts with CAG for the maintenance of the airport’s sensitive infrastructure, including the aircraft pavements and airfield lighting systems, as well as the maintenance of passenger loading bridges and the aircraft docking guidance systems at Terminals 1 and 2.

Keppel FMO’s portfolio also includes transportation systems, educational institutions, government buildings and commercial buildings.
The abovementioned contract is not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets or earnings per share of Keppel Corporation for the current financial year.
