SATS’ TFK poised for earnings boost as visitor arrivals improve

Visitors to Japan improved by 41% in November.

Tourists are the bread and butter of SATS’ subsidiary in Japan, as Chinese visitors surge in the East Asian country.

According to analysts from UOB Kay Hian, this increased volume will flow through to a higher number of meals, leading to boosted profits.

“In addition, the commencement of the Delta Airlines catering contract in September will lead to improved profitability,” UOB Kay Hian said.

Meanwhile, TFK’s earnings could receive more momentum as a new bullet train linking Tokyo to Hokkaido opens in March this year, boosting visitor arrivals at Narita and Haneda airports.
