Scoot kicks off daily flights between Singapore, Tokyo
This the first low-cost link of the two cities.
In a release, Scoot announced that it launched daily flights between Singapore and Tokyo – the first and only low-cost link between the two cities.
Exhibiting the Scootitude that the airline has become known for, three Scoot Sumo Wrestlers – aka CEO Campbell Wilson, Chief Pilot & Head of Flight Operations Captain Rohan Hari Chandra and First Officer Yusuke Uehara – celebrated by Scooting around some of Tokyo’s most scenic sights, including Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Ginza and Tokyo Tower, accompanied by cabin crew Ikuko Miura and Ayu Kamakura.
Scoot’s daily service departs Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 at 12.55am and arrives into Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport at 5.40am. The onward leg departs Taipei at 6.50am, arriving at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport at 10.40am. The return flight departs Tokyo at 11.50am and, after transiting Taipei, arrives at Changi Airport at 8.10pm.
Scoot’s network now comprises seven cities (Singapore, Sydney, Gold Coast, Bangkok, Taipei, Tianjin and Tokyo), with two more – Shenyang and Qingdao – commencing in November.
