Scoot scoots to Tianjin, China
Singapore's radio DJ Jeff Goh will be with guests on the debut flight on Chinese Valentine’s Day.
In a release, Scoot, Singapore’s newest low cost carrier, inaugurates its first Chinese city, Tianjin, on Qi Xi festival, the Chinese Valentine’s Day.
With the theme “Love is in the Air”, all guests aboard the inaugural service from Singapore will be accompanied by Singapore’s radio DJ Jeff Goh from Love 97.2FM. Scoot vouchers and tickets will be given away to the fastest Scoot’s Weibo fans who spot Jeff and his friends as they “Scoot” around Tianjin! In addition, Scoot will also be giving out prizes to lucky winners onboard its first service to Tianjin and back.
“We’re excited to launch flights between Singapore and Tianjin, our first destination in China. We are delighted to be serving this large and exciting city with Scoot’s great value airfares, empowerment and fuss-free way to travel, and offering connections to the world via our Singapore hub,” said Campbell Wilson, Scoot’s CEO. “Travellers in other Chinese cities will soon be able to join the fun…we’ll be announcing additional mainland destinations very soon!”
Scoot will depart from Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 at 1.30am and arrive into Tianjin Binhai International Airport at 7.30am. The return flight departs Tianjin at 9.15am and arrives into Singapore at 3.05pm, offering connections to Scoot’s other destinations including Sydney, Gold Coast and Bangkok, as well as many of the 220 cities in 60 countries accessible from one of the world’s premier air hubs. Initially operating three times a week, the service will increase to four times weekly from 9 September 2012.
