SIAEC to provide engine maintenance to France's Safran Aircraft Engines
They will provide engine Quick Turn (QT) and modification embodiment services.
SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) will be providing engine maintenance service to French aerospace engine manufacturer Safran Aircraft Engines after signing an agreement, according to a press release.
The 10-year agreement includes engine Quick Turn (QT) and modification embodiment services for both CFM LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines. SIAEC will also set up a facility that seeks to have the latest engine and QT processes to support these services, which is expected to begin operations in 2020.
The LEAP-1A is one of two engine options for the Airbus A320neo family, whilst the LEAP-1B is the exclusive engine for the Boeing 737 MAX. The LEAP engine is a product of CFM International, a 50/50 joint company between US-based GE and France-based Safran Aircraft Engines (France).
