ST Engineering wins support service contract for Japanese airline
The customised programme allows airlines to select support services and pay a corresponding flight hour rate.
ST Engineering secured a multi-year component Maintenance-By-the-Hour (MBH) contract for Japanese low-cost airline Solaseed Air, an announcement revealed.
Under the new agreement, ST Engineering Aerospace will expand its scope of component support services for the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737-800s.

The customised MBH programme allows airlines to select a range of support services and pay a corresponding flight hour rate.
“This way, operators are able to keep operating costs low and also minimise fixed asset inventory holdings in terms of spares or maintenance equipment,” ST Engineering said.
The firm provides support for more than 600 aircraft through the MBH basis.
Solaseed Air is headquartered in Miyazaki and flies between destinations on the island of Kyushu and Tokyo.
