Tiger Airways April passenger volume up 23% to 6.1mn
The airline’s load factor from May 2010 to April 2011 averaged 86%, compared to 85% in the previous 12 months.
From May 2010 to April 2011, a total of 6.1 million passengers chose to fly with Tiger Airways, an increase of 21% over the 5.0 million passengers in the preceding 12 months. Average load factor for the 12-month period to April 2011 was 86%, an increase of 1 percentage point year-on-year.
For the month of April 2011, Tiger Airways carried 623,000 passengers, a 23% increase compared to the same month last year. The average load factor across Asia and Australia for the month was 88%, an increase of 4 percentage points compared to April 2010, according to a Tiger Airways report.
