Tiger Airways carried less in February

In the same month Tiger Airways Singapore increased capacity by 13%.

Tiger Airways said that for the month of February 2012, it carried 384,000 passengers or a 19% decrease compared to February 2011.

Meanwhile the average load factor across Asia and Australia was down from 83% in February 2011 to 81% for this year.

From March 2011 to February 2012, a total of 5.6 million passengers flew with Tiger Airways, a 6% decline compared to the number of passengers in the preceding 12 months.

According to Tiger, average load factor for the 12-month period to February 2012 was 82%, down 4 percentage points compared to the previous 12 months.
