Tiger Airways re-connects Singapore and Bangalore
The airline will fly four times a week to India’s Silicon Valley starting October 31.
Tiger Airways on Thursday announced that from October 31, it will re-launch a direct service between Singapore and Bengaluru (Bangalore).
The capital city of Karnataka, Bangalore is widely regarded as India’s Silicon Valley, and is home to some of the most high tech industries and premier scientific establishments in India, according to a Tiger Airways report.
“Bangalore is one of Asia’s fastest growing cosmopolitan cities, and India’s third most populous city. Given its potential as a destination that attracts both business travel and leisure, we are pleased to resume our services to this city,” said Stewart Adams, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Singapore.
“Travellers from Singapore looking to explore India’s Garden City can now look forward to great value fares on Tiger Airways,” noted Adams.
Bangalore is the fourth destination in Tiger’s India paw print, following Chennai, Trivandrum and Tiruchirapalli.
Tickets to Bangalore are on sale from 8 July until 15 July at SGD100 (Singapore to Bangalore), all-in, for travel from 31 October 2011. The service will launch with four flights a week - Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
