Tiger Airways, SEAIR launches third Manila Clark-Macau route
SEAIR will operate daily flights from Manila to Macau from 27 May 2011.
According to Tiger Airways and SEAIR, the new route will also offer low fares to tourists, business travellers and Filipinos working abroad on the important link between the Philippines and China.
Under the “Partner Airline” programme, SEAIR operates short-haul flights on Airbus aircraft leased from Tiger Airways.
Avelino Zapanta, SEAIR’s President and CEO, said, “Flying between the Philippines and Macau will be a breeze with our ultra low fares. Our other customers can also look forward to more savings, as we get greater economies of scale from more international routes. At the same time, we are delighted to make greater contributions to our country’s employment, tourism and economy.”
Tony Davis, President & Group CEO of Tiger Airways, said, “We are delighted with the growth of our Partner Airline programme with SEAIR. We also look forward to developing our collaboration by acquiring a 32.5% equity stake in SEAIR. Combining Tiger Airways’ successful business model with SEAIR’s established presence in the Philippines will benefit its people and travellers with more low fares and employment opportunities.”
Approvals from both the Philippines and Macau authorities have already been obtained by SEAIR to operate services between Manila (Clark) and Macau.
