Yongnam consortium invited to resubmit tender for Hanthawaddy International Airport concession
With amended project financing term.
The Board of Yongnam Holdings Limited (Yongnam) released an update that its consortium comprising Yongnam, JGC Corporation (JGC) and Changi Airport Planners and Engineers (CAPE) is one of four shortlisted consortiums invited to resubmit its proposal for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Hanthawaddy International Airport (HIA) and its facilities on the basis of a public-private partnership agreement for a 30-year concession period.
The proposal has to be resubmitted to the Department of Civil Aviation, the Ministry of Transport, Myanmar (DCA Myanmar) by 22 April 2014.
The Consortium had previously submitted a proposal on 29 May 2013 to DCA Myanmar for the HIA project.
On 10 August 2013, the Consortium was named as a back-up tenderer for HIA by the Tender Selection
Committee of the Myanmar Ministry of Transport.
Subsequently, on 31 January 2014, the Consortium was invited by DCA Myanmar to negotiate for the HIA concession.
The company said it will provide further updates as and when there are further material developments with regards to the HIA tender.
