Campbell Wilson steps down as Scoot CEO
The outgoing CEO will be replaced by Leslie Thng.
Scoot CEO Campbell Wilson has stepped down from his post and will serve the airline only until 15 June, Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced.
SIA, the parent company of Scoot, said its Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Leslie Thng, will replace Wilson.
Before taking over as Scoot CEO in April 2020, Wilsons served as SIA's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing from September 2016 to March 2020.
Between 2011 to 2016, Wilson was the founding CEO of Scoot. After he departs from Scoot, Wilson will serve as CEO of Air India.
Meanwhile, Thng, who will take over the CEO post on 16 June, has been with SIA Group for 23 years.
Amongst positions he held were CEO of Vistara, SIA’s Indian joint venture with Tata Sons (October 2017 - December 2021); Scoot Chief Commercial Officer (May 2016 - October 2017); and Chief Executive of SIA’s regional carrier SilkAir (August 2012 - May 2016).
