CCCS greenlights SIA-Garuda Indonesia joint venture
The JV will operate revenue-sharing flights between Singapore and Indonesia.
The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) has approved the commercial joint venture (JV) agreement between Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines (SIA).
Under the JV, the two airlines will operate joint revenue-sharing flights between the countries, coordinate flight schedules for improved connectivity, and explore joint sales and marketing initiatives to enhance customer value.
The partners are also working on initiatives, including offering GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer members the opportunity to earn and redeem miles on codeshare routes.
Currently, Garuda codeshares on flights between Singapore and Indonesian cities such as Bali, Jakarta, Medan, and Surabaya, as well as on long-haul routes to Johannesburg, London (Heathrow), and Mumbai.
