Changi Airport’s passenger traffic jumped 11.7% in February
Thanks to the Lunar New Year holidays.
Passenger traffic at Changi Airport rose 11.7% year-on-year to 4.60 million travellers in February, latest operating statistics show.
Passenger traffic rose for most regions. In particular, passenger movement between Singapore and Chinese cities surged 13% to more than half a million passengers, buoyed by the Lunar New Year holidays.
China was Changi Airport’s second largest source market for the month after Indonesia and ahead of Malaysia, Thailand and Australia.
Aircraft movements were 7.7% higher with 28,520 landings and takeoffs, while cargo shipments were maintained at 135,900 tonnes, compared to the same period last year.
