
Changi Airport grabs crown as world's best

Singapore Changi Airport ranked as the best in the world according to the World Airport Awards 2013.
This is the 4th time that the aviation hub has been awarded the top spot in 14 years. Changi Airport beat its Asian peers including Incheon International Airport (2nd), Hong Kong International Airport (4th), and Tokyo International Airport (9th). Travellers from over 160 countries take part in the world’s largest, annual airport passenger satisfaction survey, to decide award winners. The World Airport Awards are the global benchmark of airport excellence and Quality ranking.
The World Airport Awards are based on 12.1 million survey questionnaires completed by 108 different nationalities of airline customers during the nine month survey period in 2012 and 2013, covering more than 395 airports worldwide.
This established, industry survey is totally Independent, and evaluates traveller experiences across 39 different airport service and product key performance indicators - from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration through to departure at the gate.
