Changi Airport records 33.7% YoY surge in February passenger movements
Singapore's Changi Airport experiences a significant uptick in passenger traffic, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
Changi Airport’s passenger movements showed a 33.7% year-on-year (YoY) increase in February, amounting to 5.4 million individuals.
This surpassed the pre-pandemic tally in the same month in 2019, which tallied 5.1 million passengers going through the airport.

On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the total number of passengers that have gone through Changi Airport reached 10.8 million souls. This was 28.7% higher than the tally last year.
In terms of air freight movements, 143 million tonnes was registered in February, 9.3% higher than last year’s. For commercial flights, it was still 3.6% lower than pre-pandemic levels, which stood at 28.8 million.
