Changi, Aurrigo test new autonomous baggage handling vehicle
The latest vehicle features a sideways drive system.
Changi Airport and Aurrigo have begun testing the latest version of the latter’s baggage-handling vehicle, Auto-Dolly Tug.
Compared with the previous editions, the third-generation Auto-Dolly Tug can rotate in length and can move directly sideways through its sideways drive system.
Changi has been trialling the earlier versions of the baggage-handling vehicle since February 2022.
“The new Auto-DollyTug also features Aurrigo’s auto-loading and release management system that adds bi-directional robotic arms to the body to allow the vehicle to autonomously load and unload the unit load device (ULD) from itself,” Changi said.
