Changi to reopen two terminals from September to October
Operations will first resume in Terminal 4.
Changi Airport will reopen Terminal 4 (T4) and the south wing of its Terminal 2 (T2) in September and October, respectively.
In an announcement, the airport said T4 will resume both departure and arrival operations, whilst T2's south wing will handle departure flights only.
T2 will feature new stores, such as The Shilla Duty-Free and Lotte Duty-Free, which will be done by August and September, respectively. A cluster of up to four food and beverage concepts will also open in October in the terminal.
The resumption of operations of two terminals will allow Changi to meet the full recovery of its pre-COVID-19 passenger traffic in the Northern Winter Season beginning 30 October 2022 (NW22/23).
Changi said more flights will be launched for NW22/23 given that passenger traffic at the airport has "recovered strongly" since 1 April 2022. By the first week of June, the airport said its passenger traffic already reached 48% of its pre-COVID levels.
