ExxonMobil’s first cargo of sustainable aviation fuel lands at Changi Airport

The fuel will be used in Singapore Airlines and Scoot flights.

ExxonMobil has delivered its first cargo of certified Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to Changi Airport.

The oil company is amongst the suppliers chosen to be part of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) pilot program on the use of SFA in Changi.

In a statement, ExxonMobil said the SAF was “manufactured by blending ExxonMobil-produced refined jet fuel with the Neste-produced neat SAF at ExxonMobil facilities, before being delivered to Changi Airport’s fuel hydrant system.”

The SAF will be used by Singapore Airlines and Scoot.

“We are proud to supply certified SAF to Singapore Airlines in this inaugural pilot. ExxonMobil is bringing its established capabilities in fuels manufacturing and logistics to help customers such as SIA achieve their net-zero ambitions,” Geraldine Chin, chairman and managing director, ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., said.
