More than 70 aviation firms pull out from Singapore Airshow
The airshow will push through amidst companies’ withdrawals.
More than 70 international aviation companies are withdrawing from Asia’s largest aerospace and defense conference in Singapore as concerns mount over the coronavirus outbreak, according to a report by Bloomberg.
American global aerospace defence Lockheed Martin Corp and US defence contractor Raytheon Co. are amongst the companies who confirmed cancellation.
The event’s organizer, Experia Events, said that despite the companies’ cancellations, the airshow, which starts on 11 February, will continue as planned. Experia events further shared that the companies that had pulled out represent less than 8% of participants.
More than ten Chinese exhibitors have previously affirmed their withdrawal.
