SATS' net profit jumped 21.1% to $51.6m in Q4

Due to better cost management.

SGX-listed in-flight caterer SATS today reported that its net profit climbed 21.1% year-on-year to $51.6m in the fourth quarter on back of better cost management.

Operating expenditure declined 3.2% to $380.4m resulting mainly from lower cost of raw materials, depreciation expenses and other costs, along with successful productivity measures which have mitigated rising labour costs. Consequently, operating profit improved 7.2% year-on-year to $44.7m.
