SATS returns to profit with $65m Q1 gain on strong business volumes

A one-off gain from a loan settlement also helped boost profit.

SATS bounced back in the black, posting a profit attributable to owners (PATMI) of $65m in Q1 2025.

In Q1 FY 2024, the company reported a $29.9m loss.

The Mainboard-listed company attributed its significant improvement to “scale leverage from higher business volumes” and a $7.2 million one-off gain from the settlement of a loan with an outgoing partner in Indonesia.

The company also reported a 15.5% YoY higher revenue of $1.4b in Q1 2025, driven by Gateway Services and Food Solutions segments.
