Scoot-Nok Air JV clinched green light from Thai regulators

Operating permits are next in line.

Singapore Airlines today revealed NokScoot, a joint venture between Singapore-based low cost carrier Scoot and Thai budget airline Nok Air, has officially received an approval from the Department of Civil Aviation of Thailand for the Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) on October 30, 2014.

This means that NokScoot has met all statutory requirements since earlier the company has also been granted Air Transport Service License from Ministry of Transport of Thailand. 

The Air Operator’s Certificate received will pave the way for its application for operating permits and slots to its intended international routes.

The commencement date of commercial operations will be announced when the operating permits and slots are obtained.
