SIA crowned as world's best airline in 2018
It recovered from a 10-year title drought and beat 2017 best airline Qatar Airways.
Singapore Airlines (SIA) has emerged as the world’s number one in the 2018 Skytrax World Airline Awards after a 10-year title drought, an announcement revealed.
It beat Qatar Airways that held the crown in 2017, 2015, 2012, and 2011.
“A key 'wow' factor for customers is consistency and this proved to a real asset for Singapore Airlines who scored highly across both product and service,” Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted said.
SIA also clinched three more awards in other categories including ‘World’s Best First Class’, ‘Best Airline in Asia’ and ‘Best First Class Airline Seat’.
“I am sure Singapore Airlines will also take great pride in winning the World's Best First Class award, less than one year after they introduced their new first-class suites,” Plaisted commented.
