SIA, Garuda Airlines want to form JV for more seamless flight routes
It seeks to cover routes between Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya.
Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Garuda Indonesia (GA) declared that they propose to enter into a joint venture (JV) deal that will seek to cover more flight routes to increase passenger capacities between the two destinations.
Subject to regulatory approvals, the planned JV will cover routes between Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya.
The JV will also permit GA and SIA to coordinate schedules between the two markets so that customers can have seamless connectivity between the two destinations.
These two airlines are also studying joint fare products and an alignment of corporate programmes to enhance the value proposition to customers.
