SIA Group cuts net loss to $962.0m in FY21/22
In FY20/21, the airline's net loss was $4.27b.
The SIA Group was able to cut its full-year net loss by 78% to $962.0m in FY21/22, its latest financial statement showed.
In FY21/22, the group posted a net loss of $4.27b.
The narrowing of net loss can be attributed to the higher total revenue of the group which jumped by 99.6% to $7.61b, and the shrinking of its operating loss by 75.7% to $609.7m
SIA said its full-year revenue was lifted by significant growth in passenger traffic and strong cargo demand in the second half of FY21/22.
For the full year, the airlines saw a 215.7% jump in its Available Tonne Kilometres (ASK) and a 101.9% increase in its overall Cargo Tonne-Kilometres (CTK).
