SIA Group's cargo business marks significant growth in March
The airline's cargo load factor rose to a monthly high of 60.0% for FY23/24.
Singapore Airlines Group (SIA Group) saw a 20.7% YoY uptick in its passenger volume in March, carrying 3.3 million passengers last month.
Apart from passenger volume, the group’s passenger traffic also increased 13.9% YoY to 12.7m.
Meanwhile, the airline group recorded a passenger load factor (PLF) of 87.7%, down by 1.3 percentage points.
The group’s cargo businesses also reported positive volume growth in March, with total cargo and mail carried rising 17.4% YoY to 90.9 million kilograms (kg).
The group’s cargo load factor also rose to a monthly high of 60.0% (+4.9 pts) for FY23/24.
The airline also saw its cargo loads increase to its highest monthly level in FY23/24 of 517.6 million tonne-km (+15.6% YoY) thanks to increased inventory flows by shippers and charters for various entertainment events.
